Steve is the Director and Program Manager for Raise the Bar. Steve has been teaching high school in Guelph, Ontario for the past 22 years. For the last 10 years, he has been the department head of health and physical education at St. James Catholic High School in Guelph.

Steve has a passion for health and physical education and envisions having programs that provide every student with the opportunity to engage in physical activity programs that are rewarding and fun. Since September 2006, he has been seconded by the Ministry of Health Promotion to deliver the program goals and philosophy of Raise the Bar.

As Director, his mandate is to meet with the 72 school boards in Ontario and assist them in the development, improvement and implementation of intramural programs. These meetings typically involve superintendents, consultants and program leaders. Subsequent meetings and presentations involve staff and sometimes students - all in an effort to deliver more inclusive physical activity programs to the students of Ontario.
